For in him we live, and move, and we are; As some of your own poets have said,: For we are his offspring. It is then, God's lineage, we should not think that the Godhead is like gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
(Acts 17:28-29)

The apostle Paul was speaking this time the Athenians (Grecia); personas idolaters, with many gods, and they had an altar with the inscription: "To an unknown god"; as saying today, "It is better than on"; moreover, many posing as philosophers, others were Stoics (who sought to avoid the pleasure and tried to live in complete apathy and away from it all), and Epicureans (whose philosophy was egocentrism, and contrary to the Stoics, these sought pleasure, but individually and they saw that it was all good); en conclusión, most Athenians were people who liked to play on at all times gods, philosophies and beliefs of all kinds.

This group faced Paul at that time, when he was expounding on the Lord Jesus Christ, taking advantage of the opportunity to speak, about "the unknown God". Obviously there were many conversions, however also, many unbelievers who did not admit of the resurrection of Christ.

Today we have had a wonderful opportunity to meet the Lord, talk to Him through prayer, for all this we must cherish our time, and understand that nothing can compare to Him, which by its sheer grace and mercy, He made his offspring; meditate on these verses and find in them the joy of living in the ways of the Lord, now when so many sects and philosophies rise, tú y yo, we are called to be God's family.

¡Gloria a Dios!
